We offer monitoring for routine and high-risk foalings with staff on premises. Between 20-35 mares per year currently foal out with us.
 Although we do not offer neonatal intensive care, we can usually provide the added jump-start your new foal may need.

We currently have approximately 20 hand-picked horses boarded on the farm.  This continuous horse population allows us to maintain a quality staff that is necessary to care for the wide variety of clinical patients that come and go.  We periodically have boarding vacancies available.  Please enquire with our office staff to be considered for such an opportunity.
Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is a technique used in the treatment of neck and back pain.  It consists of injecting a combination of medications into the mesoderm (middle layer of skin) using tiny needles.  Call the office to set up an appointment with Dr. Caplan to see if your horse is a candidate.

We accept alternative therapies that are available in our area and we integrate them into our treatment programs.
Virginia Equine veterinarians make a conscientious effort to work closely with our farrier colleagues.
